About Us
Calo Tours was born from a dream that began in Coco Beach when Carlos—known as Calo—fell in love with the ocean at just 12 years old. After 25 years working in tourism and guiding visitors through the Papagayo Gulf, he and his wife Samy created Calo Tours to share their passion in a more personal way.
Their boat, Yi-Ta-No-Mu (“Light of the Ocean”), reflects their deep connection to the sea and the place they proudly call home.
What makes us different? Every tour is private, personalized, and relaxed - no rush, no crowds, just authentic experiences led by local crew who knows these waters by heart.
